No renewable energies without storage
The expansion of renewable energy is fundamentally transforming the energy system. Additional flexibility options are needed to ensure that electricity from wind and solar power plants can be used safely and reliably.
Battery storage can play an important role here: It supports the integration of renewable energy, stabilizes the power grid, and helps better balance supply and demand. The Federal Network Agency’s scenarios project that Germany will have between 41 and 94 GW of large-scale battery storage capacity in the future, underscoring the growing importance of storage for the energy system.
Kyon Energy develops, builds, and operates grid-connected battery storage systems, thereby creating the infrastructure for a flexible, renewable, and resilient energy system.
