Munich, September 22, 2026 – TotalEnergies is reorganizing its power business in Germany and will bring its activities together under “Integrated Power Germany”. The new business unit will more closely integrate its affiliated subsidiaries QUADRA energy Sales & Origination, Kyon Energy and VSB as well as TotalEnergies’ offshore wind activities in Germany.
With “Integrated Power Germany”, the Company will place even greater focus on core capabilities across the renewable power value chain: the development, construction and operation of wind and solar projects; the development of utility-scale battery storage projects; the direct marketing and aggregation of renewable power generation; and the development of offshore wind projects in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The purpose of the new business unit is to foster the development of profitable, low-carbon energy solutions. Alexandre Duret-Proux has taken on the role of Managing Director of TotalEnergies Integrated Power Germany and will lead the new business unit.
"The expansion of renewable energy requires storage capacity at industrial scale. Kyon Energy develops battery storage systems that can relieve pressure on power grids, better align electricity generation and consumption over time, and provide additional flexibility to the market. By working more closely with project development and power marketing, we will be able to fulfil this role even more effectively,” said Thomas Maubert, Managing Director of Kyon Energy.
Through the acquisition of QUADRA energy in 2023, Kyon Energy in 2024 and VSB Group in 2025, TotalEnergies has strategically expanded its presence in the German power market. The company aims to increase its worldwide net electricity production to more than 100 TWh per year by 2030, with around two-thirds expected to come from renewable sources. Germany plays a central role in TotalEnergies’ European power business, reflecting the scale of its market, its ambitious renewable-energy deployment targets and the growing need for flexibility solutions.
Kyon Energy is a leading German project development company that focuses on large-scale battery storage systems and acts as EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) and operator of the systems in addition to project planning.
