The battery storage project in Weingarten, Germersheim district, has an output of 100 MW and a gross storage capacity of 203 MWh. The battery storage system is used to provide system services (in particular primary control power) and to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and is connected to the Amprion GmbH network. Construction of the plant is planned for 2027.
