The battery storage project in Faid, in the Cochem district, has an output of 20 MW and a gross storage capacity of 41 MWh. The battery storage system is used to provide system services (in particular primary control power), as well as to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and is connected to the Westnetz GmbH network. Construction of the plant is planned for 2026.
