The battery storage project in Freiberg, Mittelsachsen district, has an output of 58 MW and a gross storage capacity of 133 MWh. The battery storage system is used to provide system services (in particular primary control power) and to generate revenue from optimization on the spot market and is connected to the Mitnetz GmbH network. Construction of the plant is planned for 2027.
